Scrapbook Crop Artwork

Had a great time at a crop my good friend Veronica Reis hosted this past weekend. The monies raised went for Princess Margaret hospital -Breast Cancer research. Her crop is called "Crop for the Cure".

There were many croppers there and every spot taken but we had lots of table space for cropping!
I sat with a table full of friends and croppers and had a blast ! The food was amazing. Hot lunch with Portuguese chicken and Parisian potatoes and wonderful salad. The dinner was a choice of Veal parmesan or Chicken with a white wine sauce with mushrooms and roasted potatoes, grilled veggies and another lovely salad. Coffee was strong, just like I like it and dessert was a lovely light  lemon filled creme cake! MMMMMMM.

I donated a few prizes and won some beautiful jewelry!

3. If luck doesn’t smile on you in that way, you might stumble upon it by finding a little extra something in your Studio J box. This “golden ticket” is redeemable for one of Close To My Heart’s new D-ring albums* loaded with 10 Top Load Memory Protectors™.

4. For a fourth way to win, simply create new, gorgeous layouts in Studio J, select your favorites, and then post pictures of them on Close To My Heart’s Facebook page using the hashtag #ctmhlucky5. After November 30, five lucky winners will be selected from the entries based on their artistry and creativity and each of these winners will receive their own D-ring album loaded with 10 Top Load Memory Protectors!

 5. And there is one last way to win: take your new Studio J artwork and post a picture of it on Instagram using the hashtag #ctmhlucky5. I love flower stamps but in November I really had to look around for inspiration as it's getting cold enough to snow outside my home.

Anyhow I decided that these flowers would make great embellishments on the some party crackers I am making for my daughter's 25th birthday dinner in December. I saw the party cracker done with these stamps on page 15 of the  Close to My Heart Annual Inspiration book and used this as my inspiration. I am always doing things at the last minute for her December birthday but not this year!  I used the Artiste cartridge-Page 68 and cut it at 11"( Not real dial size). Filled it with some goodies and real money( for her). Now only 10 more to make!

Then I was on a roll so I went on to do a few cards.
I used Yuletide Carol patterned paper for this next card( yes Christmas paper that can be used all year round!) I used Close to My Heart dessert Sand  ink for the flowers, black ink for the sentiment.

Finally for the last card,I continued with using the same ink colours( dessert sand, black, ruby, flaxen) added some gold glitter tape and pop dotted the flowers. I really love how versatile this stamp set is.

Here are the materials I used:

Remember, the SOTM is only available until November 30th!

I love Halloween. I love the colours, costumes and the fun decorations. So I created this layout with some inspiration from a program called "creative insider" from Close to My Heart. This paper pack does not have a Workshop on the Go Kit and this kit is available for purchase from me.
I did not use any stamps as I wanted to be able to show our crafters that want the look of stamping without actually using stamps that this is possible. I popped some of the Stickease complements to put a little focus here. I used: Scaredy Cat paper, new Twill striped ribbon,Scaredy Cat Complements and Scaredy Cat Assortment.
I love the Thistle(purple) colour and can't wait till Halloween is here so that I can put my grand daughter's pictures on the layout.

My next project is one that I created for my Calendar club for the month of October. I used Scaredy cat paper, and the black Damask patterned paper is a retired Close to My Heart paper that I thought worked so well with this paper. That's what I love about our patterned papers, No matter what, the old stash can be used with the new! I used Cricut Artbooking cartridge to Cut out the fence and black moon. On the actual calendar page below I used number of retired Close to My Heart stamps as I can't part with them and did I tell you how much i love Halloween?

 Here are the stamps
Here are the products I used for these cards

Here is the card I came up with. It could be used for a wedding, Graduation, new job,a trip etc.

Then I challenged myself to use colours other than red or green to use some of the other stamps  on cards.
