Picture My Life Cards

I was just part of a  Picture My Life Cross Canada Blog hop a few days ago. We were challenged to use the cards in another way other than putting them in the Picture My Life page protecter sheets. I made a baby card.
After seeing what some of the other consultants came up with I went through my craft room to look for more inspiration. I found a picture frame I had picked up a few years ago and got out my baby cake kit. Here is what I came up with.
 Here is the frame
Then I selected some cards with inspirational phrases and quotes  that I could put inside. The large openings actually allowed me to fit in the large 4x6 size cards. The smaller squares were a little more challenging. I used the 3x4 sized cards  and made them fit in across the two squares.
here is what it looked like whenI was prepping everything.

Finally here is how it looked when I put it all together before embellishing it.
Not bad huh? Just another way to use the cards. I am going to give this frame as a baby gift for a baby shower I am going to.
Once I have finished it I will post the results.
Thanks for checking this out. Here is the special campaign I am offering to you as an incentive to get any one of these beautiful kits.

I am working on a mini baby album for a baby shower. It's not finished but I managed to get the card done to go with the gift.
I used three mini cards from the  Baby Cakes Picture My Life kit. There are 120 cards in each kit. 44- 4x6 sized cards,78- 3x4 sized cards, one 12x12 designed cover sheet, 10 12 x 12 memory protectors.
I also used our Basic Paper fundamentals card stock for the card base. Love the pattern on one side and shiny embossed on the other. I chose the brown strip as I wanted to match the base with the baby cakes and it seemed to go so well. We already know it's a boy so the borrows and yellows seemed to go so well.
 z1939- $21.95- includes 20 -12x12 sized sheets-2 each of 10 designs

I used  our brand new ShinHan Twin touch markers to colour in the images of this family and kids acrylic set that is one of my favourite but unfortunately retired. The markers are so wonderful to work with as they are alcohol based. I have all 24 and they are a great investment.

Finally, I used the Cork Circles from the Pathfinding Assortment  to embellish the front of the card.

The You and Me was cut from another 3x4 sized baby cakes PML card

This is a quick and fun way to use the pIcture my Life cards. I will be using them for more cards in the future !

I love this magnetic Chalk board because I see so many uses for it . For now I am using it to write quick notes( template cut from ArtBooking Cartridge on School Page layout, as well as some embellishments ,Apples and border) I used magnets to hold everything on the board and covered the magnetics with the the cork circles which fit so easily. That way I can change the board up for each month or season. I put a sheet of magnets behind the pictures and will change the pictures each month. This board is going in my kitchen, I have red mini appliances and red as a complimentary colour in the kitchen so it all works !

Here is My Project
