I am so in love with this new trend of "succulents and wild flowers". I especially loved the National papercraft wreath kit Close to My Heart featured last month. I held a class for some ladies and we all became addicted to these beautiful flowers. I decided to make more 'succulents and flowers found on the Flower Market cartridge from Close To My Heart.
I used the Chipboard centre piece of the wreath and covered it with paper from the Rustics Home Fundamental Paper . I sponged the succulents with a variety of Close To My Heart inks ink, sprayed them with a light mist of water and bent and molded them a little, as I did with the rolled roses. The roses came from Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridge which are retired.
I used a lot of scrap card stock from my stash to cut the flowers out and embellished with glitter gems. I also used The Close To My Heart clear and gold shimmer brush on many of the flowers and leaves.
I made this sign for my daughter's floral business, "Sweet Stems Floral Designs".
She has done a few weddings, special events and of course yesterday was her busy day preparing Valentine arrangements .
Check out her website www.sweetstemsflorals.com
She has a studio in our home and I thought this sign would look perfect on her wall ! She absolutely loved it !
Here is the picture of the all of the cut out flowers ,leaves and succulents from the cartridges.
Here are some close ups of the sign
And here is the finished product
These flowers are so easy to do and this sign took me an hour. You'll want to get your hands on this cartridge for sure
